Description

Egg Custard (flan aux oeufs)

When I'm feeling low, this egg custard is one of my go-to comfort foods. It's sweet, soothing, and packed with light protein. You can make it in individual custard cups or a single casserole dish.

Ingredients

Instructions

    • Gather all ingredients and preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
    • In a bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla until smooth and well-mixed.
    • Pour the mixture into 6 custard cups and sprinkle the tops with nutmeg.
    • Place the cups in a baking dish, then fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the cups.
    1. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the custard sets. Allow it to cool completely before serving.
